![]() Right now the reason I'd suggest a $1000 PC build or more is purely based on what consoles are being sold for, since $1000 is nothing to sneeze at in a base metric of currency. The final option you could go with is just wait for the Next-gen consoles to be sold for MSRP again, or get lucky and get one in store after the holidays. I researched a lot and ended up opting for a pretty top-end build given what's available right now, however it may be a bit overkill for CoD, hence why I suggested a cheaper solution, if that's an option at all. I'm not sure what type of budget you'd be working with but you could definitely build a PC dedicated solely to running CoD for no more than $1000 and still have a noticeably better time playing than on console. I also opted for a more expensive solution in building a PC, seeing as consoles are really getting massacred right now, and on top of that, since CDL swapped to PC, we can expect even less future support for console gamers. Whether or not this will be fixed in the future remains to be seen. Unfortunately, the easiest way to fix this right now is to not play the game at all, which is pretty much what I've done. Just in case anyone is still dying to play the game, you can still try it that way, as it has worked for me thus far, I am just bummed because I really enjoyed zombies while I had the chance to play it. When in game my system can run 120 FoV with no frame drops so I really am in doubt that it's my system in particular.ĮDIT: From new experience I have determined this may be an issue caused by both zombies and campaign exclusively, as multiplayer seems to run fine as long as you strictly play that. In summary, I won't be playing this game at all until I see or hear about updates for the game that either improve stability or directly address these issues. So perhaps adding an option to just download the entire file as one install would fix this, because even if it took longer to download, I'd rather download it once and be done, than have to reinstall the game 5 times in 2 days only for it to still not work. I also can't necessarily blame it on just release, as I think this whole "Preload the entire game's files before launch in multiple different downloads" adds a lot more room for errors, and if even one of those downloads snags on something the whole download is gone. ![]() I can play virtually anything else with no issues, which I will be doing until Treyarch fixes their shit, I am so disappointed in how bad of a release this has been since the game itself is amazing. That goes for both the Data Corruption and CE-34878-0 code. My reasoning is simply: I ran modern warfare 100% fine up until I stopped playing it and swapped to Cold War, and literally no other games have caused any other issue of this type once. I'm more inclined to believe that the Cold War game files are screwed up right now, or maybe as the first paragraph said, designed to do this on last-gen consoles. While there could be many explanations for this such as corrupted sectors, something else with the console, etc. As if that wasn't bad enough, as soon as I deleted the app, it full crashed my playstation and caused me to initialize AGAIN just now. However, just 10 minutes before writing this, I was mid game of zombies, and the game once again gave me a corrupted file notice, and to delete the app. Day 1 the game crashed my PS4 causing me to have to initialize, and then after all of that and reinstalling the game, it would error code CE-34878-0 repeatedly and ultimate I was able to track the source down to a corrupted download file from the game.Īfter reinstalling again that time and deleting the system saved data, as well as rebuilding my database, I tried it again and it didn't error code, but then about 15 minutes later the actual data corruption notification popped up so I redid the process again, and then it worked. I have never had such a horrible experience with the launch of a game ever. ![]() Basically, I'm under the impression that the game was designed to break last gen consoles and force players to buy new the next-gen.
